Tune in: Find Your Frequency on the Consciousness Dial

Radio station W-YOU is on the air and broadcasting live. YOU are continually transmitting your personal symphony out into the Universe in a frequency unique to you.

The human body pulses with subtle energies and detectable electromagnetic phenomena. Each of us is a powerful server, sending out or “transmitting” content.

It is this transmission that we’re referring to when we speak of good and bad vibes. We are talking about the resonance between another energy field and our energy field. Do they feel right together, or rub each other the wrong way? Resonance is simply a reflection of the harmony or disharmony between energy fields.

In his book, Power vs. Force, David Hawkins presents a “Map of Consciousness,” calibrating various energies and levels of consciousness, ascribing them a numerical frequency on a scale of 1 to 1000. With each progressive rise in the level of consciousness, the “frequency” or “vibration” of energy increases. The energy of shame and humiliation is lowest on the scale, at 20. Enlightenment and pure consciousness is highest, at a frequency of 1000.

Higher consciousness radiates a beneficial and healing effect on ourselves and on our world; negative energy fields create weakness, discomfort, and dis-ease.

So the question is, what kind of tunes fill your airtime? Like many radio stations, you probably play a bit of a mix, but we typically transmit in a limited bandwidth, so have a general theme that plays most of the time.

Are you stuck in a rut and playing the same old ‘Oldies, but Goodies’?–apathy is calibrated at a low 50. Maybe you transmit more of the Blues–grief and regret vibrate at 75 on the scale. If you’re playing a lot of anger, your frequency is a more stimulating 150. A playlist of love songs would put you at high 500 on the consciousness dial.

Whatever your frequency, you’re connecting with like frequencies and drawing anything that resonates with that level back to you. If you’re playing the Blues, you will draw experiences and people to you that like the Blues and are more than happy to keep you playing the Blues.

You can notice what vibration you must be sending out by noticing what you are receiving.

As human beings, we have the power to achieve higher and higher levels of consciousness. Through the choices we make, the people we interact with, the environment we experience life from, the foods we eat, the way we choose to spend our time, our attitude, our ability to laugh–all these things either raise or lower our vibrational frequency.

We know that “like attracts like.” And high, light vibrations always transmute the lower, denser ones. By seeking out uplifting books, people, events, and even foods, and by avoiding dark and dismal colors, people, attitudes and thoughts, we lift ourselves up and make this universal law of vibration work for us.

I’m playing songs of hope and optimism today. That’s about 310 on my consciousness dial. I hope you tune in.
